n November 9, 2011 the Pasadena Bar Association hosted a business development conference at Noor restaurant, located within the Paseo Mall, in Pasadena. The event was attended by approximately 170 attorneys and their staff. Thirty-two exhibitors showcased their businesses to members of the Pasadena Bar Association during the two hour conference. At the end of the conference special drawings were held which resulted in a few lucky winners receiving an iPad and various other prizes donated by the Exhibitors.
The purpose of the event was to assist members of the association with their businesses, by providing them with ideas, services, and products. The Association also showcased the new Attorney Referral section of its website.
Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard was in attendance and commended the Association for organizing the event. Also in attendance, was former Los Angeles Dodgers MVP, Don Newcombe.
In addition, three guest speakers spoke on various business related topics. Overall, the comments received from those who attended were very positive. Many of the exhibitors expressed their appreciation to the Pasadena Bar Association for organizing the event and stated that they would likely participate in next year's conference.
Donald Schweitzer, the Vice President of the Association and Program Chair stated: "This conference was successful due to the incredible teamwork of those who served on our committee. We planned the event many months in advance, visited the forum twice, and worked together in attracting thirty-two companies to showcase their products and services. All of our efforts paid off, and I think everyone who participated came away from the conference feeling inspired."
The Business Development Conference is the final general event hosted by the Association for the year 2011, except for the holiday party which will be held on December 8th at Pandora Restaurant.
